Homemade Peanut Butter

Simple and Easy Homemade Peanut Butter

  • Frying Pan
  • Kitchen Cloth
  • High Speed Blender
  • Glass Jar
  • 1 Cup Raw Peanuts
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil (optional)
  1. Take 1 cup of raw peanuts and dry roast them on medium heat in a frying pan for a few minutes ,until they slightly start to brown and you can smell the peanut flavor.

  2. Spread a cloth and pour the dry roasted peanuts onto it. Gather the sides of the cloth upwards and hold it together and then rub the dry roasted peanuts together properly until the skins fall off. Next, unfold the cloth and remove the peanuts.

  3. Into a high speed blender, add in the dry roasted peanuts, along with 1 tbsp of olive oil and give it a good blend on high speed until the mixture turns smooth and creamy.

  4. Pour the ready homemade peanut butter into an airtight glass jar or container for storage.

Tips for making this recipe:

  • Make sure that you’re using a high speed blender because it helps make the peanut butter smooth and creamier.
  • Use raw peanuts that you will need to roast before blending it. This will enhance the flavor of the peanut butter.
  • If you wish to have your peanut butter crunchy, then blend only 3/4 cup of the peanuts and save ¼ cup. You can coarsely grind the ¼ cup of the dry roasted peanuts in the blender later on and add it into the smooth and creamy peanut butter to get crunchy peanut butter.

Recipe Additions:

You can add in a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor of the peanut butter, while adding in sweeteners like honey or maple syrup can give your peanut butter a slightly sweetish flavor.
