Main Ingredients in this Recipe
The base ingredient of this mousse is coconut milk, blended with dark chocolate. These ingredients are healthy, as well as they are vegan.
Coconut milk is nutritious and do not add majorly to one’s calories. Additionally, dark chocolate is also good for health, as it is rich in antioxidants.
2 Ingredients Vegan Chocolate Mousse
- 150 grams dark chocolate
- 3/4 cup coconut milk ((Or any other milk of choice))
- Grated dark chocolate ((optional))
Start off by chopping the dark chocolate into small pieces. You can save a few grated shavings for garnish (but this is optional).Transfer into a mixing bowl.
Into a saucepan, heat up the milk on low heat until hot (not boiling). Then, pour on top of the chocolate pieces.
Mix well until the chocolate pieces fully dissolve and melt, blending inwith the milk.
Thereafter, take a deep bottomed bowl (large enough to fit in yourmixing bowl with the chocolate mixture) and pour in some cold water and 15 to20 ice cubes.
Place the mixing bowl into the deep bottomed bowl with the cold water and keep mixing the chocolate mixture with a whisk for a few minutes. Soon you will notice that the mixture is beginning to thicken into a custard-like consistency.
Once you achieve the custard-like consistency, pour the mixture into 2or 3 ramekins/bowls and place it in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours to set.
To serve, garnish with a few gated chocolate shavings (optional).
